At the point where the Aegean and the Mediterranean meet, a hidden paradise connected to Fethiye: Saklıkent Canyon . If you want to both cool off and enjoy nature, this is the place for you!

How to get to Saklıkent?

It is approximately 40 kilometers away from Fethiye center. If you have a private vehicle, you can easily reach it by following the signs. There are wonderful views among the lush green trees and mountains along the way. Don't worry if you don't have a vehicle, you can easily come here with minibuses departing from Fethiye in the summer season.

Explore the Canyon!

A wooden bridge welcomes you at the entrance to Saklıkent. The moment you step in, you will be enchanted by the sound of ice-cold flowing water and the majestic walls of the canyon. As you move towards the canyon, you will feel the coolness more, because the water here is like a natural air conditioner coming from the mountains!

What to Do Here?

  1. Walking in the Canyon: Jump into the water and start walking in the cool waters. It may feel a little cold at first, but once you get used to it, it's a whole different experience! You'll be amazed by the rock formations along the walking path.

  2. If You Are Looking for Adventure: As you go deeper into the canyon, the ground gets a little more slippery. But this is an adventurer's paradise! If you want a more professional experience, you can proceed to the difficult parts of the canyon with a guide.

  3. Tube Rafting and Zipline: The fun doesn't end here! You can go rafting on the river in Saklıkent or experience adrenaline-filled moments with zipline.

  4. A Pleasant Break: After the walk, you can rest on the throne cushions and drink an ice-cold ayran at the restaurants near the entrance of the canyon. The trout is also quite famous, I recommend you don't leave without trying it!

When to Go?

Saklıkent is a favorite escape spot for those who are overwhelmed by the heat, especially in the summer months. The ideal time is between May and September . If you go early in the morning, you will both avoid the crowds and tour the canyon more comfortably.

What to Take?

  • Comfortable walking shoes or sea shoes. (Because the ground is stony and slippery.)

  • A waterproof bag and a change of clothes.

  • If you can handle the cool water, don't forget to bring a swimsuit!

A Little Warning:

The flow of the water can be high at times. If you are coming with children or elderly people, it is useful to be careful. Also, as you progress through the canyon, there may be no phone signal, but this is a great opportunity to be alone with nature!

Saklıkent Canyon is not only a place to visit, but also an opportunity to get away from the city and renew yourself. Come on, are you ready to discover this hidden wonder of nature? 🌿
